Fabric Arrival

I was so excited when I discovered fabric.com and carousel designs! I have been awaiting the arrival of this fabric for days! I was quite eager to get started on the bedding this past weekend, however it never came...thank goodness for this coming weekend!

I plan on making a crib skirt out of the gray and white zig zag (chevron), a crib bumper out of the elephant fabric and covering the rocker with the minky...of course with a lot of help from mi madre!

Lil' Man's Room Update

Ikea shelves and frames, Elephant and "E" anthropologie

A couple tasks have been crossed off the baby room list, however more have been added! The walls have a fresh coat of gray, shelves have been hung, and our rocker has been purchased. I had been checking reviews online and sitting in rockers at every store I can find...was not impressed! Well of course I was impressed once and looked at the price tag of the rocker which was $699. I actually got the hubby to come to a consignment store where we found this beauty! I plan of painting it espresso to match the furniture and cover it in a gray minky fabric!

Bump Update Week 25

Week 25 STATS: (better a couple days late than never)

Size: Baby is the size of a cauliflower, and a little over 1 1/2 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Maternity clothes are definitely a bit more comfortable, but I can't really find the perfect fitting pants for my growing belly. This week I stuck to the old jeans with the rubber band trick!

Weight gain: 8 1/2 lbs
Stretch Marks: Still crossing my fingers

Gender: baby boy
Food Cravings: This week I really wanted frozen yogurt...but never quite got around to it! Does that count as a food craving?

What I miss: wine and being able to eat whatever without worrying if it affects my little boo boo

Symptoms: I am feeling pretty thankful this week!

Best moment of the week: Purchased our glider from a consignment store...it is white and denim, not quite espresso and gray, but it will get there!

Pizza Night

Whenever grocery shopping at Trader Joe's it is difficult to pass up the opportunity to purchase pizza dough. I decided it would be a perfect dinner idea to have homemade pizza (I'll let Trader Joe's take the credit for the dough). Making pizza is something that I just can't do alone...so I cut all the ingredients to make a BBQ chicken pizza and a pepperoni pizza and waited. I imagined waiting with my glass of Pinot, but had sweet tea instead! Finally once the troops started walking in the door we constructed our pizza! It was a great home cooked, fresh, easy clean up meal!

DIY wreath with fabric flower

finished product

Fabric flowers

It was recently pointed out to me that I still have my Easter wreath hanging on the front door..yes it is a little bit embarrassing! I have been looking for a replacement everywhere...I really wanted to purchase a herb wreath from Williams Sonoma but did not want to spend that much money. I decided to buy at wreath from Joann's $4.99 and fabric pack $7.99 (but used a 50% off coupon so it was $4.00) and here is how it came out!
