Back when we were a family of 3

Our last photos as a family of 3. I contacted the photographer that so beautifully captured Easton as a newborn and had her snap some shots of my growing belly and our family. Looking back at our sweet boy, he seems so little, and then he became a big brother and seems so big. I am so glad we have these photos as memories.
(get ready for picture overload)

Madelyn: 1 month

These newborn days surely do fly by. Madelyn has been apart of our family for a little over a month and we are all obsessed and in love with her. Big brother Easton would prefer if he was always holding her or if he could be in the baby swing with her.
During the first month of life this little girl got to celebrate her first Christmas, go to the mountains and sled (or sit in a sled), attend a birthday party, go for a hike and many walks, read  books, and so much more. (way more than her big brother got to do within the first month because this Mama was scared to even put him in the car seat).

Not very amused by tummy time

Sledding with her brother

naps on Daddy

Hang out with her cousin Reese

And her cousins Aiden, Liam and Chloe
At one month Madelyn is waking about 2 times a night to eat, around 1245-145 and then again around 4-5…not bad! She rarely cries, but is definitely starting a fussy time in the evenings. She is eating every 3 ish hours.

Weekend in Photos

Days go by so quickly. This weekend consisted of
Going for walks to the park

Napping on those walks

Not enjoying tummy time

Watching the broncos loose again the colts

Lots of swinging

We had a raining weekend but still managed to get to the park with Grandma. We had family over for dinner. And then family over for the football game and made some yummy lunch, I tricked the boys with a greek yogurt "ranch dip". Oh and Madelyn slept a 5 hour stretch at night, big news!

Happy 5 on Friday

Happy 5 on Friday!

1. At just 6 days old we had Madelyn's newborn photos taken. I am in love with them.

2. I am trying to learn and learn quickly that life is not about accomplishing "tasks" and keeping a clean house. These things are nearly impossible at this stage in life. I used to have time to make a to do list and actually put some check marks not that list...

 3. I am loving my "E" and "M" bangles that my husband got me for Christmas.

4. One random day this week we headed up to the mountains for a little sledding. This boy was in love.  Last week Southern California got snow all around, but the mountains got quite a bit. Even though it had warmed up to 55 degrees, the snow was still everywhere! Perfect sledding conditions.

5. This meal is amazing! I pinned it and have made it twice. One of the reviews said to add a fried egg on top…and I did! I've made it for the whole family and everyone agrees! It is not too involved and I love me a good pesto pasta any day of the week.
