DIY wreath with fabric flower

finished product

Fabric flowers

It was recently pointed out to me that I still have my Easter wreath hanging on the front door..yes it is a little bit embarrassing! I have been looking for a replacement everywhere...I really wanted to purchase a herb wreath from Williams Sonoma but did not want to spend that much money. I decided to buy at wreath from Joann's $4.99 and fabric pack $7.99 (but used a 50% off coupon so it was $4.00) and here is how it came out!

A Little Love on Tuesdays~ Sandalwood Fan Favors

When it came to our wedding favors I had so many ideas and I really wanted to do sandalwood fans but wasn't sure how to incorporate them! Of course living in Southern California you would expect the date of July 9th to be steaming hot...well that did not quite happen! Wedding day weather by the beach was overcast and cool! Thank goodness I thought to display them as a decoration and didn't just hand out sandalwood fans on a cool overcast day! I bought each box with a 40% off coupon at Micheals and then printed a monogrammed "thank you for attending the wedding of Chelsey and Tucker" tag, tied a ribbon and there they were!

A Little Love on Tuesdays

Thank goodness for DIY wedding projects because they sure make a wedding budget reachable! Towards the end of planning the money stack seems much shorter! Thats why making additions to the wedding decor yourself really saves so much money! I purchased wooden numbers and black spray paint and made our numbers!

Yup, that's right! Those kitchen cabinets are painted!
Our little big weekend project is complete! We have been debating on how we are going to re-do our kitchen! Of course we purchased this house because we didn't have to re-do anything...but my husband married a "home improvement" fanatic! We have been debating on having someone re- stain the cabinets, or replace the cabinets, or doing them ourselves. We of course chose the "DIY" option. Our first step to our kitchen flip was to get rid of those maple cabinets! We purchased the "cabinet transformations" kit for $120 and started painting! Now we  need to splurge on...floors, counters, appliances etc.

A Little Love on Tuesdays

Since this little blog started as a scrapbooking adventure for my wedding, I have decided to actually follow through and share a little about my wedding on Tuesdays! Today of Course being the first one!

My wedding was one big DIY wedding day! From my veil and hairpiece, to the decor and even the dessert buffet! Today I will start with the seating arrangements! I purchased 3 corkboards, tacs,  frame holders, a couple of white lanterns, rhinestones and both black and cream cardstock. And came up with this entry for our dinning area. Each card of course had the name and table number!  I made a sign, "Please Find your Seat" and placed it on the table to help direct the guests! Next Tuesday I will show you my DIY table numbers!

Bathroom Before & After

One work free weekend  my husband and I decided  it would be the perfect time to re-do our downstairs powder room! We headed to Lowe's and got our supplies and we he started working! We replaced the wood floors with stone, placed stone and decorative pieces up the wall and replaced the shiny silver fixtures with bronze colored fixtures! It still needs decor but the bones of the room are com

Some Hallway Decor

I am so excited for the new addition to our Master! I found a DIY tutorial on http://meohmymama.blogspot.com/ and made some wood stained art! I wanted it to be something meaningful so I used the lyrics to Amazed by Lonestar because I walked down the aisle to it on our wedding day! I came home from work the other day and my wonderful husband had placed it so beautifully in our hallway!

Wedding Guest Book & DIY

My favorite part of planning our wedding was finding DIY projects and asking the creative people I know to help! Since my Aunt is the worlds best scrapbooker, I sent her an idea for a guest book, gave her a couple of pictures, and next thing I know she brings this beauty to my guest book table! I knew I wanted something that I could eventually display in our home, and that is exactly what I got!
